Everything you’d check before moving, on one map
- Commute
- Weekday journey times to eight central London stations, arriving by 9am, including the walk to your nearest station.
- Schools
- Ofsted grades and results for the schools near each neighbourhood, for your child’s year group — from nursery to sixth form.
- Homes
- What homes actually sold for over the last two years, for flats, terraces, semis and detached houses.
- Safety
- Crime compared with similar areas nearby, so a busy high street doesn’t make a quiet road look dangerous.
- Demographics
- Who lives there, from the 2021 census: households, families with children and every census ethnic group.

Questions
Which areas does My Area Score cover?
All of Greater London and the commuter belt within about 50 miles of central London — more than 10,000 neighbourhoods, including towns in Surrey, Kent, Essex, Hertfordshire, Berkshire and Buckinghamshire.
How are commute times worked out?
From timetabled weekday journeys arriving by 9am, plus an estimate of the walk to the nearest station. They are a fair comparison between areas rather than a promise about your own door-to-door time.
Can I search by school catchment area?
Catchments change every year and many schools don’t use them, so instead you see the schools within reach of each neighbourhood and how they perform for your child’s age. Always check admissions criteria with the school or council.
Do I need an account?
No. Searching the map is free and needs no account. You only need one to subscribe.
What does the pass add?
Exact figures. Free use shows which fifth an area falls into for prices, school results and crime; a pass shows the actual numbers — median sold prices, results and crime rates — for 30 days.
Does the pass renew?
No. It is one payment for 30 days, and it stops on its own — there is no subscription to cancel and no second charge. Buy another whenever you need one; if you buy while a pass is still running, the days are added on.
How up to date is it?
Demographics come from the 2021 census, prices from the last two years of sales, crime from the most recent twelve months, and schools from their latest published results and inspections.
